The beginning

Shelim Hussain was born in Bangladesh where his family were struggling. He was sent to the UK on his own at the age of 11 where he was expected to earn and send money back to his family.

He was working in restaurants in Cardiff when he realised a gap in the market once a frozen foods distributer closed down.

Shelim drove to London to pay £20 for a box of Prawns and sold them to restaurant, making a profit. Shelim began Euro foods Group then.

He began supplying restaurants and takeaways in Wales and the West country.
