Bio: Huang received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University in 1984, and his Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 1992.
Huang co-founded NVIDIA on his 30th birthday in 1993 and is currently the President and CEO. As of 2016, his portion of NVIDIA stock was worth $1.3 billion.
The Jen-Hsun Huang School of Engineering Centre was built after Huang gave his alma mater Stanford University $30 million, becoming the second of four that make up Stanford’s new Science and Engineering Quad. He also received the Silicon Valley Education Foundation’s Pioneer Business Leader Award in 2007 for his corporate and philanthropic work.
Huang was named an Alumni Fellow by Oregon State University and received the Daniel J. Epstein Engineering Management Award from the University of Southern California.
