Possibly one of the most highly anticipated hotel openings this year is that of the uber-luxe Atlantis The Royal in Palm Jumeirah Dubai. Officially welcoming guests from 10 February, the hotel just celebrated its opening with a truly grand series of celebrations, including an astounding, invite-only Beyoncé concert.

Housed in a jaw-droppingly futuristic building and complete with dramatic water features, the hotel is a neighbour to Atlantis, The Palm, and is at the tip of the palm tree-shaped Island of Palm Jumeirah.

Atlantis: Paradise Island



One more unmissable surprise from Atlantis Resorts this year is the renovation of the iconic Atlantis: Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Early this year, Chef Michael White is opening Paranza at The Cove – a restaurant focused on coastal Italian cuisine. The opening of this restaurant will make Atlantis the only resort in the region where you can find three Michelin-starred chefs under one roof.

In addition to the renovations of all rooms and suites in The Royal Tower, the Atlantis Casino is undergoing a major upgrade too.
