Kim Kardashian to Launch a Private Equity Firm
Kim Kardashian has announced the launch of her own private equity firm called SKKY Partners. She co-founded the company with Jay Sammons, private equity veteran and ex-partner at Carlyle Group.
Kardashian’s PE firm will focus on investments in consumer and media business, she announced on Twitter.
SKKY Partners will be run by Kardashian as a co-founder and co-managing partner and Jay Sammons who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations. Kim’s ‘momager’ Kris Jenner will be a partner at the firm.
“Together we hope to leverage our complementary expertise to build the next generation Consumer & Media private equity firm”, said the reality star turned entrepreneur. She is one of the latest celebrities to dip their toe into founding their own private equity and venture capital investment firms, following Leonardo DiCaprio, Ashton Kutcher and Gwyneth Paltrow.
