Google’s CEO Warns Of Productivity Issues At The Company
According to CNBC, Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai has raised concerns about the company’s productivity.
According to CNBC, Google employees expressed concern about the wave of redundancies that has been sweeping through the tech industry in recent months after their CEO warned that productivity was slipping at the company.
At a Wednesday meeting, Google’s CEO reportedly told employees: “There are real concerns that our productivity as a whole is not where it needs to be for the headcount we have.”
“I wanted to give some additional context following our earnings results, and ask for your help as well.”
“It’s clear we are facing a challenging macro environment with more uncertainty ahead,” Pichai added.
However, Google’s HR chief Fiona Cicconi addressed concerns over redundancies, saying the company was “not currently looking to reduce Google’s overall workforce.”
