As life is slowly getting back to some form of normality and international travel is resuming, we’ve gathered the most anticipated luxury hotel openings for the next year. From a brand new Nobu Hotel in the heart of Marrakech to two new W Hotels in Europe and North America, the list promises to get you excited for new adventures in 2022.
W Algarve, Portugal & W Toronto, Canada
W Algarve will be the luxury brand’s first property in Portugal, expected to open in April 2022. hotel will offer 134 guestrooms, 83 residences, a Sea Sky rooftop bar, exquisite dining options and stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and the truly breath-taking Algarve coastline.
Opening this winter, W Toronto will be located in Yorkville where work and play exist in symbiosis. With galleries, restaurants and bars at the hotel’s doorstep, as well as their own rooftop bar and restaurant, a music venue and a ground-floor café and restaurant, W Toronto will provide guests with a dazzling selection of entertainment.
Nobu Hotel Marrakech, Morocco
Expected to open its doors in autumn 2022, Nobu Hotel Marrakech will be nestled in the Hivernage district, just off the city’s historic heart. The hotel will offer 71 spacious rooms and suites, a vibrant selection of dining venues and rooftop spaces, a spacious spa, indoor and outdoor pools, a gym and an event facility.
One&Only Aesthesis, Athens, Greece
Offering amazing views of the Aegean and located in 21-hectares of an exclusive beachfront estate in Southern Athens, One&Only Aesthesis promises to be the perfect luxury hotel to explore Athens and the Athenian Riviera from. It will offer 127 rooms, suites and private villas, a spa and two signature restaurants.
One&Only is also launching a second Greece property in 2022 – the beachfront One&Only Kéa Island.
Rosewood Doha, Qatar & Rosewood Vienna, Austria
Rosewood Vienna is expected to open next summer and will be the luxury brand’s fifth European property. Conveniently located on Petersplatz in Vienna’s Old Town and housed in a stunning 18th-century building, the hotel will comprise of 99 spacious rooms and suites, blending modern comfort with traditional Viennese features. The property will also offer guests a rooftop bar, a great selection of dining and entertainment options, a spa and meetings spaces.
Housed in two futuristic towers inspired by coral reefs, Rosewood Doha and Rosewood Residences Doha will consist of an ultra-luxury hotel with 185 divine guestrooms and suites, 173 serviced apartments for longer stays and 300 residences available for purchase. With eight dining venues, the project will also be a culinary destination and will offer Rosewood’s signature spa, as well as a gym and a Manor Club executive lounge.
