For this magic to work you will need to repeat the technique, thus, aim at making this hack a daily habit. The main idea behind this trick is to break down each of your tasks for the day into a 25-minute time block. Between each of these time blocks you have a five-minute break, and once your Pomodoro is done you can take a more extended break of about 15 to 25 minutes. The techniques tend to work because you focus entirely on one task without any distractions.

Have a specific time when to check your emails
Shuffling through your email can be time wasting. It could take you about 20 to even 30 minutes just responding to the several emails. With all this in mind, it makes it important to allocate time within your day to read through your emails; you can do this twice in a day, that is in the morning and sometime in the afternoon.
Try and learn to say No
It can be a huge challenge for most people, but if you are looking to increase your level of productivity in a day, you will need to say no, as this reduces the amount of time people can order you around. Try and put it across in a professional manner as it will create respect from your peers.
