Zember Jr. has resigned from his positions as President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of the Company, and as Chief Executive Officer and a director of Ameris Bank, citing a need to attend to family and personal matters. H. Palmer Proctor, Jr., formerly President of Fidelity and Chief Executive Officer of Fidelity Bank, has been named Chief Executive Officer of the Company and Ameris Bank. Additionally, five former Fidelity directors – James B. Miller, Jr., H. Palmer Proctor, Jr., Gloria A. O’Neal, Rodney D. Bullardand Wm. Millard Choate – have been appointed to the board of directors of the Company and Ameris Bank. James B. Reporting to WPP CEO Mark Read, Guay will lead the evolution of the agency’s offer and its relationship with its flagship client, Ford Motor Company. Guay brings 25 years of experience covering all aspects of customer and brand connections, and deep knowledge of performance, digital and data- driven marketing. He has extensive auto marketing experience for BMW, Buick, GMC and OnStar. His most recent role was EVP, Managing Director of the Boston and Detroit offices for Digitas. During eight years with Digitas he led relationships forAflac, Liberty Mutual, GMC and several P&G brands.
